A suggestion to raise the state pension age to as high as 75 has jumped to the top of political debate in a brief respite for Brexit.
The proposal was put forward by the Centre for Social Justice , labelled the "Tories' favourite think tank" – not least because it is chaired by Iain Duncan Smith, MP and former secretary of state for work and pensions under David Cameron.
