A historic Grade II-listed house formerly owned by King Henry VIII is up for grabs in a raffle, offering a unique opportunity to own a piece of royal history.
A former home of King Henry VIII in Wiltshire, England, valued at £2,500,000, is being raffled off by Raffle House. Built in the 1500s, the historic Grade II-listed house was gifted by Henry VIII to Edward Seymour, brother of his third wife, Jane Seymour, in 1536. The property remained in the Seymour family for over a century before being passed to Brasenose College at the University of Oxford.
Later extended with a Queen Anne wing, the home now boasts six bedrooms, four reception rooms, three bathrooms, and a range of original features including elm floors and a traditional wooden ceiling in the farmhouse kitchen. The 2.75-acre estate also includes a 1,900 square foot barn with planning permission for conversion into a four-bedroom house. For a £10 entry, participants receive 15 chances to win the property, or they can enter for free via post. The draw closes on February 28, with the winner announced on March 7. An additional bonus draw for a Mercedes AMG Couple offers an extra incentive for early entries
