Marlene Jerome gets a hug after Timothy Williams , the man convicted of killing her daughter Wendy on Thanksgiving Day 1984, was sentenced for murder Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Authorities said Timothy Williams spent decades living a double life, until DNA evidence came back to haunt him and bring him to justice.Just before sentencing Williams, Judge Alex Renzi told him the Jerome family would finally receive justice and he would face the consequences of his actions on Thanksgiving Day 1984.
Following her daughter's murder, Marlene said she promised to never give up the search for Wendy's killer. Nearly 40 years later, Wendy's family and friends packed a Monroe County courtroom as Williams was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
