Steph Thomas (pictured) was removed from the surgery and told it was because of a 'breakdown in the GP/patient relationship' following her demands for morphine.
A young woman who was banned from her GP after repeatedly asking for pain killing medication was later diagnosed with an incurable cancer, it has emerged.
The keen horse rider, from Ellemere Port in Cheshire, lives with Fowler's Syndrome, which is a chronic illness that affects the bladder and causes difficulty in passing urine. She was also told that if she continued to request prescriptions early it would 'result in your removal from the GP practice list due a breakdown in GP/Patient relationship'.
The cancer has spread to several parts of Steph's body, including her stomach, spleen, pelvis, ovaries, and small bowel. 'It's spread to that many places, it could have been caught really early and the outcome could be a lot different to what it is at the moment, it's quite advanced and spread in a lot of places.
'She's just really poorly at the moment. If it had been found sooner, when she first went into hospital she was able to eat, walk around, and have a conversation with me and not be tired.
