Shaker Heights police charged a dog owner whose Rottweiler bit and injured the legs of a 16-year-old girl.
Shaker Heights police took a report that someone broke three windows at the Shaker Heights Main Library, 16500 Van Aken Blvd.At 1 p.m. Aug. 20, police were called to investigate a disturbance in the 14000 block of Becket Road. Officers learned that a Shaker Heights woman, 46, had been assaulted by her 30-year-old daughter, a South Euclid resident, during a child custody dispute.
The woman further reported that the suspect had made purchases using her bank card totaling $23.65 at a local gas station.At 8:15 a.m. Aug. 16, officers observed a Honda vehicle traveling with expired plates in the area of Onaway Road and Van Aken Boulevard. Police located the male, a Shaker Heights man, 20, confiscated a 9mm firearm from his person, and arrested him for carrying a concealed weapon.
At 8:40 a.m. Aug. 19, officers observed a Mitsubishi vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at Chagrin Boulevard and Ludgate Road. Officers located the man and learned that he was wanted by county adult rehabilitation and corrections for a probation violation. He was arrested and turned over to Cuyahoga County deputies.At 11:55 a.m. Aug. 21, a woman reported that her bike, valued at $500, had been stolen from her unlocked garage. Police located the suspect, a Cleveland man, 38, on the bike and arrested him for breaking and entering.
