A 66-year-old woman is fighting for life after being hit by a truck in Sydney’s inner west.
Emergency services were called to the corner of City West Link Road and Norton Street in Lilyfield just before 11am on Monday following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Police arrived to find the woman suffering from serious injuries. She was taken by paramedics to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.The crash has caused traffic chaos across the inner west.
All citybound lanes of the City West Link are closed at Norton Street and police have advised motorists to avoid the area.Police are also asking anyone with dashcam footage or information to contact Leichhardt police area command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
