A woman named Shelby was surprised to discover she was already pregnant with triplets while undergoing IVF treatment to conceive another baby.
A woman named Shelby and her husband Chase had fertility treatment to conceive their first child, Bennett. After wanting another baby, they underwent more fertility treatment and discovered that Shelby was already pregnant with triplets during the initial twin embryo transfer. The couple had previously faced challenges with fertility due to Shelby's blood cancer diagnosis at 15, which doctors said might lead to early menopause.
They had tried artificial insemination five times before successfully conceiving Bennett. Then, after another egg retrieval, they discovered two embryos were conjoined - a boy and a girl. A positive pregnancy test was followed by blood tests revealing three little sacs instead of the expected one or two babies
