A woman in her 50s has shared her anti-ageing tips on TikTok and has said that they made her look 10 years younger - and they're not what you'd expect.
TikTok star @Beax has criticised "magical" anti-ageing creams that promise women the illusion of youth as they age. Instead, she divulged her anti-ageing secrets which she claims have made her appear a decade younger.
She added: "It's not going to be popular because it's not something you can buy and apply on your face five minutes before you go to bed at night. There is no product out there that's going to do that for you." She went on: "Start doing it in your mid-40s, when your face starts to wrinkle, trust me when I tell you this will be the best beauty investment that you ever make."
Her second tip was to steer clear of alcohol. A 2022 genetic study published in Molecular Psychiatry suggests that alcohol speeds up ageing by damaging DNA.
