Bailey Jean Matheson was only 35 years old when she was diagnosed with cancer. Just three months prior, she met her partner Brent Andrews.
Writing her own obituary days before her passing, she wrote she wanted to ‘live the rest of my life the way I believed it should be’. ‘My parents gave me the greatest gift of supporting my decisions,’ she wrote. ‘How hard that must have been watching me stop treatment and letting nature take its course.’The rest of the self-penned obit follows the same emotional sentiments, so prepare for some waterworks.
