Microsoft has announced that changes to Google's US mobile store means fans will soon be able to purchase and play games directly through the Android Xbox app.
Following a court ruling that forces Google to open its Play Store to competitors, Xbox owners in the US will be able to purchase and play games via the Android Xbox app starting next month. Our mission is to allow more players to play on more devices so we are thrilled to share that starting in November, players will be able to play and purchase Xbox games directly from the Xbox App on Android.' It'll be interesting to see if this means Microsoft's plans to allow us to stream our owned non-Game Pass games via Xbox Cloud Gaming will finally roll out.
