Ubisoft has announced a delay to its upcoming free-to-play shooter XDefiant, with no word on when the multiplayer shooter could return. The announcement was made from the game’s official Twitter/X account, which broke the news to fans and thanked them for taking part in the game’s recent betas over the past few months. “Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Public Test Session and continues to stand alongside us as we build XDefiant.
Alas, it looks like that is no longer the case, despite the fact it had already laid out its plans for several seasons worth of content post-launch. The FPS, which features plenty of cameos from other Ubisoft properties was, for a little while, seen as a potential alternative to Modern Warfare 3, so to see it being delayed right as that game is in the middle of its incredibly popular beta is an interesting move.
