An XL Bully has been destroyed after a woman was bitten on the legs and hand in a vicious house attack.
Emergency services rushed to Victory Avenue in Southport following reports that a woman was attack by three dogs. Police said the woman suffered bite marks to her legs and hand during the incident on Tuesday afternoon . The owner of the dogs, one of which was an XB Bully breed, was spoken to by police and arrangements were made to have the dogs destroyed. Officers transported the dogs to the vets on behalf of the owner and no arrests have been reported.In a statement issued this morning, a Merseyside Police spokesperson told LancsLive: "We can confirm we received a report that a woman was attacked by dogs in Southport on Tuesday 16 April. "The woman suffered bite marks to her legs and hand. The owner of the dogs spoke to police patrols who were at the address and arrangements were made to have the dogs destroyed.
