A new ad campaign featuring Indigenous community leaders and advocates has been launched to engage Australian communities who have been left out of conversations surrounding the Voice.

The ad leads with the message"Australia’s constitution is 122 years old and still doesn’t recognise Indigenous Australians", steering people towards favouring the constitutional enshrinement of a Voice to Parliament.

“It’s time to take the conversation about the referendum on recognition through a voice back to the Australian people,” Mr Parkin said in an exclusive interview. Mr Parkin, who has been involved first-hand in conversations with people from Indigenous communities across Australia, said the reality of the situation on the ground was “very different” from what was on media.

Yes23 Campaign Director Dean Parkin explained the new"Join Us" ad was targeted towards increased community engagement. Picture: Sky News Australia.
