Nearly 1,000 British holidaymakers have taken legal action after being struck down with gastric illnesses
Almost 1,000 British holidaymakers are pursuing legal action after suffering from severe gastric illnesses during their stay at luxury hotels in Cape Verde.
Jatinder Paul, an expert in international serious injury law at Irwin Mitchell, who is representing the affected holidaymakers, expressed deep concern: "The sheer volume of clients we're continuing to see coming forward having fallen ill during stays in Cape Verde over the last three years is incredibly concerning. The numbers involved show that these aren't isolated incidents", reports Hull Live.
Ian was struck down with the same symptoms a few days into their holiday, suffering for the duration and even after returning to the UK. He's been left with lasting changes to his bowel habits. The severity of their condition led them to seek medical advice both abroad and back in the UK. While Cordelia sought help, Ian chose to endure the illness without professional intervention.
