The Red Arrows are set to grace the skies of Greater Manchester this weekend. It's all part of the Southport Air Show which returns to the coastal town this weekend.
This weekend, crowds will descend of the Southport Pier to watch a series of aerial display teams including the RAF Tutor, Navywings Wasp, Typhoon, Starlings, and many more. The Red Arrows will be one of the most anticipated performances, and while the the full display sequence changes every year, it typically includes a variety of synchronised aerobatics, followed by a more varied second half.
You can purchase tickets online via Southport Air Show - Visit Southport. You can also purchase tickets on the day at the ticket booths located at the event entrances. Tickets are £12 per person, with under 16’s free. Car parking is £10 per car. On 14 July, the Red Arrows Air Show display will start at 4:30pm. The flight will begin in Liverpool, before heading over Chester. Winsford, Culcheth and Burscough before flying over Southport for the display. It will then be visible over Formby, Maghull and Liverpool again.
