YouTuber Luke Goodwin, who shared his health battles on the channel, I Will Not Be Defeated, has died aged 35 following a diagnosis of Leiomyosarcoma two years ago
YouTuber Luke Goodwin has died at the age of 35, it has been announced. The Grimsby based dad of two died of cancer, and his wife Beckey said that he passed away on Friday 2 August at home surrounded by his family.
Leiomyosarcoma, also known as LMS, is a rare cancer of the smooth muscles and can affect the bladder, uterus, blood vessels and intestines. It is an extremely rare cancer but can be treated with surgery if caught early enough, as in the case of Katie Price, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2002 after a growth was found on her finger just a few months after her son Harvey was born.
Luke leaves behind wife Beckey, children Taylor, five and Scarlett, three, and his parents Lisa and Brian. As well as announcing his death on Instagram, Beckey released a video on Sunday 4 August that she described as “a video I never wanted to do.”
