Zoe Ball may be presenting a musical theatre competition, however the Radio 2 presenter was hoping for more Love Island-esque antics among the young cast.
The 52-year-old hosts Mamma Mia!: I Have A Dream and says that part of her job was consoling and encouraging the reality show hopefuls, who’re competing for roles played by Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper in the films.
Zoe fronts to new ITV1 competition, while comedian Alan Carr, singer Jessie Ware, Les Misérables’ Samantha Barks and Glee star Amber Riley make up the judging panel. “I’ve been through it on the other side, I’ve come full circle,” she says. “One of the big differences was we were out in Corfu in the sun - I feel like I’ve had a lovely holiday.”
