Stacey Solomon knows exactly how to entertain kids during school breaks and weekends, as she has five of them. The 36-year-old has five children, whom she refers to as 'pickles,' ranging in age from three to 18, so there have been many times when she's had to really use her imagination to keep them all busy and happy.
But the two-ingredient toy she shared on her socials has delighted parents , and they can't wait to try it for themselves. Stacey may have been plunged into the public eye with her singing skills, but the popular Loose Women panellist has proven she's also a dab hand with crafty things, organisation, and parenting tips. The Sort Your Life Out presenter revealed her 'easy' way to keep children entertained for hours, and it's by making your own homemade play sand.
Following an incident a few years back in which she accidentally ordered too much sand for Rex's sandpit, Stacey decided to take matters into her own hands and create her own 'sand' using plain flour and coconut oil. And with news of product recalls, as asbestos has been found in some brands of play sand, now could be a good time to use natural ingredients to make your own, so you know exactly what has gone into it.
'Making our own sand with flour and coconut is better than ordering sand and ending up with a Ton of it, as I did a few years ago,' Stacey wrote. Currently, Stacey is heavily focused on her television career and home life, filming for the BBC , managing her 'Pickle Cottage' home, and caring for her five children.
Known for her relatable, DIY-focused lifestyle, she is actively working on her hit show Sort Your Life Out, which has been renewed for a sixth series, and the upcoming third series of Stacey & Joe.
