A Jet2 flight from Antalya to Leeds Bradford was forced to divert to Bulgaria after a brawl broke out between two passengers. One passenger bit another on the neck, causing children on board to scream in terror. The incident led to the plane landing in London Stansted before finally arriving in Leeds.
This is the terrifying moment children could be heard screaming and holidaymakers looked on in horror as a mid-flight brawl broke out with one passenger biting another on his neck. The Jet2 flight was heading to Leeds Bradford Airport from Antalya in Turkey when the brawl broke out. It happened about 45 minutes into the flight and the plane had to be diverted and both men were escorted off by police.
Witnesses said the men appeared 'intoxicated' and had been sat next to eachother before the fight broke out. Footage captures the brawl erupt on the plane with children screaming. At one point the person filming says: 'He has just pulled his own tooth out.' A witness said: 'There were a lot of fists throwing and one of them was biting his neck. The kids were screaming. 'It was really horrible and nasty. There was blood everywhere. 'I was left traumatised.' The plane then had to be diverted to Bulgaria - where the two men were escorted off by the police. Due to the incident the passenger said the plane had to then land in London Stansted airport in the UK and didn't arrive until around midnight. A coach was then arranged to take them back to Leeds. A spokesperson from Jet2.com said: “We can confirm that flight LS214 from Antalya to Leeds Bradford was diverted to Sofia Airport on Friday 6th December, so that police could offload two disruptive passengers
