A poll of 2,000 adults has revealed Cardiff as the top city for Christmas spirit, characterized by numerous acts of kindness and generosity throughout the year. Edinburgh, on the other hand, showed a different self-perception with 29% of residents feeling they deserve to be at the bottom of Santa's nice list.
The top cities that have made it to Santa's nice list this Christmas have been revealed - with Cardiff at the top and Edinburgh showing a less positive self-image. A poll of 2,000 adults found that those in the Welsh capital carry out the most good deeds during the year and exhibit the most Christmas spirit. Cardiff 's Deputy Lord Mayor Helen Lloyd Jones expressed joy at the recognition, and the city's generosity was highlighted through donations to local foodbanks.
The poll also revealed that on average, five acts of kindness are undertaken each week, with common acts including helping neighbors, smiling at strangers, and opening doors for others. Motivations for kindness include a desire to help society, strengthen community ties, and spread joy, especially around the festive season
