This exciting venture is the brainchild of a quartet of local friends: Wayne Leek , Kevin Cropper, and brothers Ian and Drew Murray, who have pooled their resources and passion to bring their dream of owning a bar to life.

The group, operating under the company name The Greedy Group, have meticulously planned every detail, aiming to create a unique and inviting atmosphere for their patrons.\The vision for The Greedy Banker is to offer a relaxed and sophisticated experience. The bar will feature a classy decor and aims to provide an environment that the owners themselves would enjoy. The establishment boasts a capacity to accommodate 120 people inside, with an additional 30 to 40 spaces available in the beer garden and roof terrace, making it a sizable venue. Beyond the aesthetic and physical space, the bar is committed to providing regular live music, with the house band, the Hugo Brothers, scheduled to perform approximately once a month on Saturdays. The bar's offerings include a diverse selection of wines, beers, and spirits, catering to a wide range of tastes. The Greedy Banker represents a significant investment in the local community, creating 16 new jobs and injecting a fresh energy into Victoria Square.\The journey to opening The Greedy Banker involved navigating the complexities of converting a former bank into a bar, including the necessary planning permissions and licensing procedures. The bar will operate seven days a week, opening at 9 am each day and closing at 11 pm, with extended hours until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
