A beloved husband of the late Susan, Alan was a devoted father to Sandra and Julie, and a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren. He was a painter and decorator by trade and later became a successful self-employed market trader selling shoes on Bury and Salford market. A talented sportsman in his younger years, Alan proudly played football for Accrington Stanley and Blackburn Rovers, showcasing his skill and love for the game. Later in life, he turned his athletic enthusiasm to golf, becoming an active and valued member of Rossendale Golf Club.
