Low -income families could be eligible for DWP bonus payments this winter, here's what you need to know
If you’re on a low income, there could be some extra financial help coming this autumn and winter. Bonus payments are being made to people claiming Department for Work and Pensions benefits. And they're in addition to normal benefits payments.

It’s a one-off payment of £150.Who is eligible? To get the discount you will need to be claiming certain benefits. Your energy supplier must also be signed up to the scheme.
The government states: 'You can get a Winter Fuel Payment for Winter 2024 to 2025 if you were born before 23 September 1958.The payments are £300 for anyone born 23 September 1944 and £200 for those born after 1958. Cold Weather Payments are paid between 1 November 2024 and 31 March 2025. You don’t need to apply, they’re made automatically to your bank account.Other criteria may apply depending on your benefit.
