It's a huge week for the Parkhead legions with three big events on and off the park
It's a huge week for Celtic fans as they prepare themselves for a frantic finish to transfer deadline week followed by the first derby showdown of the season against Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday.
Draw details Let's start with the most important bit. The draw for the league phase of the 2024-25 Champions League will take place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on Thursday, August 29, 2024 with a 5pm start time. Why seedings don't matter as much Teams will be split over four pots but - apart from the defending champions, in this case Real Madrid, who will always go into Pot 1 - will be based on UEFA coefficients. This is a shift from the previous method which included Europa League winners and domestic champions from higher ranked countries. But each team will be grouped with two other teams from each of the four pots, giving an equal chance of facing all of the teams in the hat.
