Coaches pick Super All-State from all classes and teams from 7A, 6A, 5A, 4A and 1A/3A.
Auburn High School’s Laila Simmons, shown during the Class 7A semifinals in Huntsville, Ala., in 2023, is a member of the AHSAA coaches soccer Super All-State team for 2024. Alabama High School Athletic Association women’s soccer coaches selected six all-state teams, including a first- and second-team Super All-State squad named regardless of classification. The coaches also picked teams for each AHSAA class – 7A, 6A, 5A, 4A and 1A/3A.
The teams were selected based on nominations from 126 women’s coaches and 104 coaches participated in the final voting. The coaches also selected three coaches of the year. Adam Johnson of Mountain Brook was selected as Large School Coach of the Year from Class 6A and 7A. Chad Harrelson of Gulf Shores was named the Small School Coach of the Year and Hunter Chapman of Westminster Christian in Huntsville was named the Private/Parochial School Coach of the Year. All three led their teams to state championships.
