Over the course of an academic year , participants would learn how to teach. They would spend most of each week in a classroom learning how to deliver great quality lessons from dedicated mentors in either good or outstanding primary schools. They would also spend days learning the theory behind the practice. And they would also receive subject knowledge training by leading consultants from the Lancashire Professional Development Service.
Yarrow Schools Alliance Teacher Training Programme has had a myriad of trainees with diverse backgrounds and previous occupations including policemen, solicitors and teaching assistants.The course helps those who wish to join the teaching profession gain QTS and get a job in a primary classroom.The course consists of theory and practical based training. Most of each week is spent in the classroom learning how to teach from seeing it modelled and exemplified.
