The Met Office has issued a fresh weather warning for parts of Yorkshire as the severe Arctic blast continues.
In their yellow weather warning they say: "Scattered wintry showers, occasionally feeding inland from the North Sea through Thursday evening and night, may lead to some icy patches on untreated surfaces as temperatures fall below freezing. Isolated snow accumulations of 1-3 cm are possible, mainly on hills above 150m elevation."
"If you need to make a journey on foot, try to use pavements along main roads which are likely to be less slippery. Similarly, if cycling, try and stick to main roads which are more likely to have been treated.
