A shopper, who admitted he has a lot of time on his hands due to a lack of freelance work, showcased his till receipt of 13 items that he'd carefully chosen and scanned to create the tree-like appearance
An Asda customer has gone to bizarre lengths to get himself in the mood for Christmas - by spending more than two hours in store to make his till receipt appear like a Christmas tree. The shopper picked up 13 festive items including turkey, tinsel, mince pies and goose fat, before making sure they were scanned in an order that would create the look of the tree and its basket.
' He continued: 'For some reason that made me laugh and I realised that you could tell a story via the medium of receipts. This idea has been on the back burner for years but I was recently made redundant and have more time on my hands. The actual inspiration for this piece came when I was writing notes on my phone and I realised you could form a Christmas tree with words.
