Business owners Zoe Hunter and Amanda Rodgers are planning to upgrade the shop at Newmarket Street, weeks after opening their new shop in Prestwick.

The duo behind popular bakery business 'They Bake' have told of their excitement at tackling their next project - as they look to upgrade their Ayr shop with a sit-in area.

Zoe, 32, told Ayrshire Live: "Our first two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind! Opening day was on Saturday, April 13. There were queues out the door the whole day and we sold out well before our planned 3pm closing. The new shop in Prestwick has a wall bar with some high seating where customers can sit whilst waiting for their order to be made. Zoe and Amanda also expanded on the range of sweet treats and now They Bake on Kyle Street offers some savoury options such as sourdough bread.
