A BANDSTAND will be removed from a park after it was set alight by vandals.
We previously reported police were called to Overtoun Park in Rutherglen at around 12.40am on Saturday, June 1 following a report of a fire at the park's bandstand.In a post shared on Facebook, South Lanarkshire Council wrote:"We have been advised by our contractors that the Overtoun Park Bandstand is unsafe following fire damage.
"The Bandstand will now be carefully dismantled and removed from its current position whilst consideration is given to restoration works."
