Biggar Women were triumphant on 'Silver Saturday' at the national stadium
Biggar Rugby Club Women on Saturday lifted the National Shield with a 66-20 final win over West of Scotland at Murrayfield.
Emily Anderson added the conversion to this and the next two tries, both scored by Freya Lejkowski, taking Biggar into a 21-0 lead. Armstrong was back on kicking duties five minutes into the second half, converting a try from Jen Bell, with Poppy Clarkson featuring well in the build-up. Bell crossed for her second try, following good runs from Lily Glendinning and Cerys Forest, which was converted by Lejkowski, who then scored her hat-trick, with the score converted by Coubrough.
