Photo submitted by Jason Liebert, “For us Germans it is a pity that Simon Geschke did not quite manage to win the mountain jersey at this year’s Tour de France. Nevertheless, the inhabitants of the town where he lives, Freiburg im Breisgau, have honoured him with a sculpture painted with red dots – so called

‘Holbein Pferdle’. This horse sculpture stands on the outskirts of Freiburg and is regularly painted by unknown persons, depending on the current occasion, which is also tolerated. From here on the outskirts it is not far to the mountains of the Black Forest – a great area for cycling. In the picture with my beloved Custom Titan Gravelbike from Nordest with Sram/Ratio 1×12.”
