Clydesdale MSP Mairi McAllan has written to the bank to ask for urgent action to resolve the situation

Residents in a South Lanarkshire village have been left without access to an automated cashpoint for more than three months due to a technical fault.

The MSP and her team wrote to bank officials about the “malfunctioning ATM” and said: “It has come to our attention through concerned constituents that the only cash machine in this rural area has been non-operational for the past three months due to a cable fault.
