Casualty fans will see some familiar faces and famous guest stars bid farewell to Charlie Fairhead in the long-running character's final episode of the BBC show

Casualty fans are in for a tearjerker on Saturday, 16 March, as Derek Thompson finally bows out of the BBC medical drama after nearly 40 years on screen as Charlie Fairhead.

His final episode is expected to offer some treats and surprises for regular viewers, including flashback scenes and some familiar faces returning to mark his exit. Her other memorable roles have included starting out in Brookside and taking leading roles in No Angels and Ackley Bridge, as well as joining the Loose Women panel in 2021.
