Detectives investigating a reported knife attack at a Merseyrail station have released an image in connection with the incident. At around 1.40pm on Friday , the victim was approached by a man on board a Merseyrail train between Liverpool and Blundellsands and Crosby railway station and there was a verbal altercation. The victim then left and moved down the carriage. Approximately ten minutes later at 1.50pm, the man and the victim left the train at Blundellsands and Crosby railway station .
Megan Rimmer was in the area at the time with her daughters and told the ECHO what she witnessed . She said: “I was getting the train back from town with my two little girls who are five and three at around 2pm, 2.30pm at the latest, and we were getting off the train at Blundellsands and Crosby train station. “When you get off there's a little gate by the car park where there's a little bit of a bottleneck if it's quite busy.
