The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints trespassed a child sex offender church leaders allowed to attend with restrictions he later violated which was uncovered by 2News Investigates . ated which was uncovered by 2News Investigates .

He bypassed security protocols to gain access into the school. What’s more, he is currently being prosecuted for three felony counts of sex offender registry violations as it relates to him being HOA President where again he was in a park among young children. On his eighth attempt, he told his dad that if he would just talk to the victims and tell the victims to “go and tell the officers hey, we were mad at dad and we are willing to work things out, maybe there would be a change of heart.”

When Bryant was released from the Utah County Jail in 2018, after serving two years for three first-degree felony convictions for aggravated sexual abuse of a child, which were amended to attempted, but first-degree felony convictions nonetheless, he immediately immersed himself back into the Church.

We normally do not identify victims of sexual abuse, but Hemenway was furious he was allowed in church in the first place. On Sunday October 29, 2023, we obtained photos of Bryant at the 49th Ward within the North Lehi Stake in the back pew in the chapel with his dog talking to a young girl. The confidential law enforcement officer immediately notified Kirton and McConkie, attorneys for the Church. The confidential law enforcement officer says he told Kirton and McConkie, “Paul Bryant’s got unsupervised access around kids which means he’s a threat.”The Church declined to provide 2News Investigates a copy of the letter. However, the letter ordered Bryant not to contact Bishop Reid, Stake President Callister, or any member within leadership of the Stake or Ward.

One hour later, Weight responded to our email and questioned how the Church could have a say in the personal lives of its members.
