Coronation Street viewers are convinced serial killer Stephen Reid's downfall may soon be at hand as they 'rumble' a surprising revenge twist with girlfriend Jenny Connor
Coronation Street fans are convinced that Stephen Reid could soon meet his match, as they predict Jenny Connor will the be the key to his downfall. The formidable landlady of the Rovers Return has recently embarked on a romance with Stephen after the scheming businessman split up from former flame Elaine after trying to pocket her wealth.
Yet while the couple have seen their romance blossom, with Jenny even inviting Stephen to live with her at the pub - she still remains oblivious to the fact he had callously murdered her tomboy lover, Leo Thompkins. Stephen famously murdered the rugby player last year in a fit of jealous rage, after Leo began to ask too many questions about his real motives. In a further devastating twist, Stephen also went on to murder Leo’s father Teddy Thompkins, after he began to investigate his son’s disappearance and began to suspect Stephen of foul play. With two kills under his belt, Stephen then turned his spree into a hat trick when he murdered business rival Rufus Donahue after being blackmailed him during his attempts to take over Underworld. With so many skeletons in his closet, fans are convinced that Jenny may soon be the one to rumble the truth, as the two grow closer and more of his secrets come to light. In fact, several fans are convinced Jenny already knows the truth and is merely biding her time to seek revenge on Stephen for having destroyed so many lives. Taking to social media to share their thoughts, one fan wrote: "Imagine a plot twist where Jenny is dating Stephen secretly knowing about his murders so is ‘dating’ him - or even better, she’s the one to take him out and kill him.”Yet while Jenny may seek justice, many Corrie fans are actually convinced that Jenny’s step-daughter Carla will be the one to “get rid of him” permanently.A second person then wrote: "Ooh Carla is coming for you Stephen #Corrie."A fourth person then commented: "I really hope it's Carla that brings down Stephen #Corrie."Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
