The new neighbors, Lou and Mick Michaelis, are set to cause chaos in Weatherfield. Viewers will be shocked to discover that Mick is the mysterious van driver terrorizing Chesney Brown.
Residents of Coronation Street are in for a major shock when their newest nightmare neighbors, Lou and Mick Michaelis (played by Farrell Hegarty and Joe Layton), move in next week. Their house backs onto Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown 's (Sam Aston) home. Gemma first encounters Lou at the corner shop, recognizing each other from the Bessie Street school gates.
Lou later invites Gemma for a drink at the Rovers Return, and the next day, she extends the invitation to both Gemma and Chesney for a double date. However, this budding friendship might be short-lived as a new spoiler video reveals. In upcoming scenes, a flustered Chesney returns home to Gemma, claiming to have spotted the van that has been terrorizing him. Unbeknownst to him, the van belongs to Mick! Viewers will recall the feud started when Mick cut Chesney off for a parking space. After blocking the van in as payback, Mick returned to his car to find the space empty and a significant scratch on his vehicle. Repeatedly encountering the van on the cobbles, Chesney resorted to pouring sugar into the petrol tank to get his own back. Unfortunately, he was caught on CCTV and forced to pay a hefty fine. The new video shows the van pulling up beside Lou, who greets Mick with a kiss before hopping in. 'I think the audience will be shocked to realize that it's Mick who has been harassing Chesney all this time because it's been drip fed out and from what I've seen, no one knew what was happening with the man with the silver van,' actor Joe Layton revealed. 'It's been great to have that kind of depth to play with and it's been fun. Working with Sam and Dolly-Rose has been amazing, like I said, everyone at Corrie is so welcoming and the Winter-Browns are an iconic family!'
