Coronation Street star Sally Carman, known for her role as Abi Franklin in the ITV soap, has been flooded with support as she took to social media to announce an exciting new work venture away from the iconic cobbles.
The 42-year-old star announced the news on her Instagram page sharing the news alongside a poster from the production, and wrote: "Very happy to be directing @lindsaywilliams8900 piece for the mighty @jbshortsplays this October at @53two. It runs from the 3rd to the 14th - be good to see you." Toyah Habeeb actress Georgia Taylor wrote: "Love this! I’ll definitely be there." Sally's husband Joe Duttine, who also stars in Coronation Street and plays Tim Metcalfe, replied with clapping emojis. Fellow stars Melanie Hill and Charlie De Melo liked the post.
Her fans also took to the post to congratulate Sally on the fantastic news, as one wrote: "Fantastic! Congratulations! Will try to make it if I can. Need to go to the theatre more," whilst another quipped: "No end to your talents! Go, you!
