Coronation Street legend Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) has been left reeling after being told she has to work Christmas Day . In tonight’s episode, the Bistro manager was already disappointed at having to miss out on a holiday to Tenerife with Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) after Leanne Battersby ’s (Jane Danson) meddling.
Having discovered her sister’s secret relationship with her ex, Leanne got her own back by making arrangements for Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) to join him on holiday – putting a stop to all the plans Nick and Toyah had made. However, her revenge didn’t stop there, as she revelled in telling Toyah that she would need to work Christmas Day, as Nick had asked her to be his guest to Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) wedding. Gail is set to tie the knot with Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson) on Christmas Day, though whether or not they will end up as husband and wife remains to be seen.
