Joel Deering, the villainous character on Coronation Street, may be facing his end after his cruel deeds were exposed and he was seen with a large wound on his face during Friday's episode. The ominous lawyer, portrayed by Calum Lill, seemed to be spiralling out of control as he lurked in the shadows this Friday , which should have been his wedding day with Dee-Dee Bailey .
But when Carla Connor arrived, Joel quickly left. Yet, it became apparent that Joel was merely putting on a performance, as he was later seen pouring out a bottle in a secluded alleyway, regaining his composure once alone. In a surprising turn of events, Joel appeared to be in tears in his car as he left a voicemail for Dee-Dee, apologising for his terrible actions and acknowledging there was no way back. However, once the call ended, Joel regained his composure and revealed a nasty cut on his left cheek in an unsettling twist, reports the Mirror.
Joel faced a stark confrontation with two men, being accused of having a "death wish" for daring to contact Dee-Dee following their split and broken engagement. His response was telling: "spot on."Upcoming episodes hint at a grim fate for Joel, as DS Lisa Swain is set to deliver the news of his death. After Dee-Dee Bailey gets a troubling voicemail from her malevolent former partner, Swain suggests it might be a suicide note.
