Shoppers say it's 'madness'
Whether you're a Costco customer or not, there's a chance you'll have eaten one of their huge cakes at some point.
Previously shoppers were able to just call in and pick one up from the shelves, but now that's all changed - and not everyone is happy about it.The chocolate cake is still available, priced £11.99, but anyone wanting a large carrot cake or a red velvet cake, priced £11.49, now needs to order in advance.Commenting on a Facebook page for Costco products, one shopper said: "Went to Costco today for a cake. Red velvet and carrot cake not on display.
Not everyone was sympathetic though, with one responding: "That'll teach you to arrange things in advance rather than at the last minute" and another stating: "Mildly inconvenient, not poor on Costco. If you needed a cake for today why buy it today?"
