Heartbreaking video of 'world's best flight attendant', Ian Epstein, at work before he died in DC plane crash as he was having fun and reminding everyone how important they are
Have YOU got a story? EmailKatharine McPhee revealed that she had a personal connection to one of the flight attendants who was tragically killed on the fated American Airlines Flight 5342 in Washington D.C.
The singer reposted a video of Epstein, 53, that was uploaded by travel influencer, Jay Robert, and penned: 'I remember this man on one of our many flights.' 'PSA Flight Attendant Ian Epstein wasn't just a crew member - he was the heart of every flight he worked,' he penned. 'In an era where air travel is often met with frustration, Ian's infectious spirit reminded everyone of the magic of flight,' the influencer continued.
The clip, which appeared to be recoded by a passenger, showed a bubbly Ian Epstein chatting with passengers on an earlier flight, 'having fun and reminding everyone how important we are.' While joking about the length of the flight, he said: 'Sit back relax and let us pamper you on this three hour - guys we're regional, we only go five miles an hour. We'll get there eventually, you're lucky this airplane has wings for crying out loud... I'm just kidding.'
'My brother was a wonderful, wonderful man. He loved life. He loved traveling. He loved his job. He loved his family, and he will be sorely missed,' she said.'He gave such a great speech at the end of our flight about being kind to one another during the holiday season,' wrote one, who said Epstein worked a trip she took from New York to Charlotte on Christmas Eve.
