Recently, we chatted in the pub for hours when we were there with different groups of friends and it was so nice.
When I was 20 I dated a guy I met at uni for four years, but I ended the relationship because his lack of get-up-and-go frustrated me – I wanted to build a life and a career, he seemed to want to stay in every night smoking weed and getting up at lunchtime.
All those feelings came flooding back and all I’ve thought about since is the possibility of giving things another shot. I think we’ve both grown up and changed a lot as people – he’s working in a good job and my life is pretty settled. Would it be mad to try again? Coleen says Ooh, it sounds like the plot of a romcom. Don’t get me wrong, I love a romcom as much as the next person, but I’d advise taking things slowly and trying not to let these nostalgic feelings cloud your judgment.
