The dog sustained serious injuries and had to have a leg amputated after a horror incident involving a City of Edinburgh Council vehicle.

A family dog has lost its leg after a reported collision with a City of Edinburgh Council tractor at a park in the capital. The tragic accident happened around 11.20am on Tuesday November 19 at the Gyle Park close to the David Lloyd centre, reports Edinburgh Live.

The vehicle was reportedly cutting grass in the park when the incident happened.
