The RSPCA has launched an investigation after a dog was found with 'horrific' injuries in a garage in Oldham - amid fears she was 'tied up with an electric cable'.
The RSPCA said she was bleeding from her neck and front legs, which had been wrapped in thick electric cable. It is feared that she was deliberately tied up in the cable before she was abandoned.The 'friendly and lovely-natured' dog was rushed to the vets where the cable had to removed with bolt cutters. She spent six days there before being moved to a RSPCA rehoming centre in Warrington.
"The pieces of cable were deeply embedded in several places and the vet thinks that is what caused her horrific injuries. She was also very thirsty and underweight, so we’re concerned she hasn’t received the right level of care for some time.
