October 1 - Energy price cap The energy price cap for the period 1 October to 31 December 2023 will be £1,923 a year for a typical household who use gas and electricity and pay by Direct Debit - this is down from £2,074 per year. Then, the cap was effectively superseded by the Government’s Energy Price Guarantee which kept the average household’s bill at £2,500.
Meanwhile, claims for written applications in the post have already been made available since September 18. October 18 - New inflation figures New inflation figures are set to be released by the Office for National Statistics. This figure will have a major influence on the Bank of England's next decision when it reviews interest rates across the country.
You need to have been entitled to a payment between August 18 and September 17 , or entitled to a payment for an assessment period ending between these dates.
