The actor was last seen in Walford in 2019 after 12 years on Albert Square – but it doesn't look like he is returning any time soon.
Nitin Ganatra as Masood Ahmed with on-screen wife Nina Wadia , who played Zainab Masood Nitin Ganatra has revealed he is yet to be asked to return to EastEnders. The actor is beloved for his role as Walford’s Masood Ahmed, who was last seen on screen in 2019. With the soap currently gearing up for its 40th anniversary in February, Nitin suggested fans should not expect to see him back as Masood for the celebrations.
Masood was introduced to EastEnders back in 2007, along with wife Zainab Masood , daughter Shabnam Masood , and sons Tamwar Masood and Syed Masood . Masood was the last of his on-screen family to depart in the show in 2019, with the character moving to Australia. The Masoods were introduced back in 2007 However, there was a major update on Masood earlier this year when it was revealed he had reunited off-screen with ex Jane Beale.
