Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is banning Steam Deck players who are facing inactivity and input issues.
Elden Ring’s DLC has now launched, and the Shadow of the Erdtree is finally here. Having spent nearly two years in development, this is FromSoftware’s first and final expansion to the world of the Lands Between. Our review labels it as ‘simply sensational,’ and finds little criticism of the work, yet despite this, there is a prevailing bug that is causing issues for players on the Steam Deck specifically, with severe complications as a result. Captured by VideoGamer.
Some have said that they have lost input control half-way through a boss-fight, while others have suggested that the DLC is suffering from significantly worse performance on Valve’s handheld. The inactivity issue is also followed by a warning of “Inappropriate activity detected. Unable to start in offline mode,” which is essentially a ban from the FromSoftware servers. Others have said that they “need to know” if the ‘inappropriate behaviour’ issue is being worked on.
