Little ones and adults alike can travel to 'Lapland' without going too far from home
Part of the North West not too far from Lancashire is about to be turned into something "magical", with families able to "fly to the North Pole" without venturing too far from home. Later this month Otterspool Adventure in Liverpool will become "Lapland", with tickets on sale now for what is described as a three-hour immersive experience.
Guests will venture through "Passport Control", a doorway said to have appeared deep in the enchanted woodlands, before being whisked to Lapland. There's also an Elf Academy on hand to help Father Christmas spread joy around the world, and children can meet Mrs Claus in her cosy kitchen and help her make some gingerbread.
In the Elves' Workshop, little ones will be invited to help make some toys, before later it's time to meet Santa himself in his cosy cabin. The big man awaits by the crackling fireplace, eager to hear some Christmas wishes, and check his trusty nice list for certain names. There'll also be a skating rink, marshmallow toasting, and the "North Pole Express Mailroom", where kids can write letters before sending them directly to Santa. Lapland Liverpool runs at Otterspool Adventure from Saturday, November 23, until Sunday, December 24 .
Each visit includes a visit to Santa in his Grotto, a gift from his toy shop, a teddy bear from the elves' 'make a bear' workshop, a festive show, gingerbread-decorating, and a number of attractions including a skating rink. Tickets start from £29.99 and you can find out more here.
